The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the CV2 area of Coventry from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges across the primary age range. Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers, you will provide tailored support to help pupils regulate their emotions, build positive relationships, and successfully engage with learning.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
* Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and emotional wellbeing
* Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies
* Support pupils with emotional regulation and successful reintegration into lessons
* Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver consistent support
* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to personalised intervention plans
* Encourage independence, resilience, and positive social interactions
* Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional learning needs
* Experience working within a primary school, specialist provision, or alternative setting
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable pupils
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
