Long Term Futures are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Radford, Coventry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the school's specialist SEN Hub, supporting pupils across Reception, Year 3 and Year 4. Working as part of an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and an SEN Teacher, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
- Skills: Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) and SEMH.
- Knowledge: A good understanding of EHCPs, adapting learning to individual needs, and delivering targeted interventions.
- Two-form entry primary school located in Radford, Coventry.
- Specialist SEN Hub supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Supportive leadership team, experienced SENCO and dedicated SEND staff.
- Excellent resources and well-equipped learning spaces.
- Strong focus on inclusion, nurturing relationships and helping every child succeed.
- Supporting pupils across Reception, Year 3 and Year 4 within the SEND Hub.
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Working alongside the SEN Teacher and wider SEND team to implement EHCP targets.
- Promoting communication, independence and social development.
- Using visual strategies, structured routines and positive behaviour management to support engagement.
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff and the SENCO.
