A bright young man who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy is looking for a personal assistants, to support him to live an independent life on a day-to-day basis. As a personal assistant you will be required to provide support in a range of areas including but not limited to:
This role is to be worked jointly with another PA already in place. Support with personal care AM and PM Monday to Friday at 6am and at 6pm (those times are non negotiable due to college commitments) 25hrs per week in total, ideally have manual handing training and hoist experience but training can be provided to the right candidate. Provide reassurance and prompts around daily routine, personal hygiene, getting dressed, and maintaining good skin integrity.
Looking for someone to be open to get to know me, to be caring and understanding, patient and flexible. Reliable and punctual. Experience of working as a Personal assistant is not necessary but keen learner would be an advantage. If you are friendly, enthusiastic, motivating, and caring and want to support someone to remain independent, this job is for you!
