Fancy working with carbon fibre, advanced materials and cutting-edge manufacturing?
Far-UK designs and manufactures lightweight composite structures, with applications including the automotive industry. We’re looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our manufacturing team and learn how to turn carbon fibre materials into high-performance components.
You’ll earn while you learn, gaining practical experience alongside a recognised Level 2 Engineering qualification.
What will you be doing?
You’ll learn how to manufacture carbon fibre components using specialist materials, moulds and equipment.
Your training will include:
Preparing and cutting carbon fibre materials.
Preparing inserts and cores.
Learning how to lay up carbon fibre by hand.
Using resin and specialist equipment to infuse components.
Removing, trimming and finishing components.
Assembling finished parts.
Reading engineering drawings.
Carrying out quality checks.
Learning about production processes, health and safety and continuous improvement.
You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers, gradually building your skills and confidence.
You don’t need to know everything already. That’s what your apprenticeship is for.
What you’ll get
£17,550 per year in Year 1
Based on £9 per hour and a 37.5-hour week.
£20,475 per year in Year 2
Based on £10.50 per hour and a 37.5-hour week, or higher where age-related pay requirements apply.
After Year 2, you’ll move towards market-rate pay based on your skills and experience.
You’ll also receive:
33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays and the Christmas/New Year shutdown.
Level 2 Engineering qualification.
Full on-the-job training and development.

Paid overtime when required.
