Summary
We are looking for a reliable and organised Packing Assistant to join our Cornwall depot team.
The Role
The Packing Assistant will help prepare, check, pack and dispatch customer orders. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as many of our products are delicate, highly seasonal and packed to specific weights.
Main Responsibilities
* Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
* Weigh and portion fresh wild produce.
* Check produce for quality before packing.
* Ensure products are correctly labelled and traceable.
* Prepare orders for courier collection and customer delivery.
* Check orders against picking and packing information.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
* Clean and organise packing areas, equipment and storage areas.
* Rotate stock and help monitor product condition.
* Report quality issues, shortages or packing errors to the Packing Manager.
* Assist with incoming produce and deliveries.
* Follow Bello Scot’s food-safety, HACCP and traceability procedures.
* Help the wider depot team when required during busy periods.
