Hays Education is working with a number of primary schools across Herne Bay that are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teachers to join their teams.Whether you're an Early Career Teacher looking to develop your Key Stage 1 experience or an experienced practitioner searching for a fresh opportunity, we have a variety of roles available across welcoming and supportive school settings.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils as they transition from Reception into Key Stage 1. You'll help children develop confidence, independence and the core literacy, numeracy and communication skills that will support them throughout their educational journey.You'll create engaging and inclusive learning experiences, foster a positive classroom environment and support every pupil in achieving their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.Opportunities are available on both a long-term and flexible supply basis.

We're Looking for Teachers Who:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or are working towards it

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1

Can deliver engaging and creative lessons that inspire young learners

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Are committed to supporting pupil progress and development

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Bring enthusiasm, patience and a nurturing approach to the classroom
