Hays Education is working with a number of primary schools across Gravesend that are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teachers to join their teams.Whether you're an Early Career Teacher looking to develop your Key Stage 1 experience or an experienced practitioner seeking a fresh opportunity, we have a variety of roles available across welcoming and supportive school settings.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you'll play a key role in helping children transition from Reception into Key Stage 1. You'll support pupils as they develop confidence, independence and the essential literacy, numeracy and communication skills that form the foundations for future learning.You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons, create a positive and inclusive classroom environment and help every pupil feel supported, challenged and motivated to achieve their best.Opportunities are available on both a long-term and flexible supply basis.

We're Looking for Teachers Who:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or are working towards it

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1

Can deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire young learners

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Are committed to supporting pupil progress and development

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Bring enthusiasm, patience and a nurturing approach to the classroom
