Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Health Officer (L3Z2) to join our Facilities & Environment team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety regulations across various facilities, promoting a safe and healthy environment for employees and the community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental health standards, risk assessment protocols, and facility management practices. You will work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to develop and implement environmental policies, conduct inspections, and monitor air, water, and waste management systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential health hazards, providing expert advice, and facilitating training programs to raise awareness regarding environmental health issues. Responsibilities
Conduct environmental health inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Identify potential environmental health hazards and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to manage compliance and resolve issues.
Perform risk assessments related to environmental factors affecting workplace health and safety.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to inspections, incidents, and compliance activities.
Deliver training and awareness programs on environmental health topics to staff and stakeholders.
Support sustainability initiatives and environmental improvement projects within the organization.
