Summary

Our client is looking for an organised, proactive Ledger Supervisor to manage a small team and oversee key finance operations. You’ll combine people leadership with hands-on financial management, ensuring strong controls, excellent service and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities of Ledger Supervisor:

- Lead, coach and develop two Finance Administrators.

- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, payments, expenses and invoice approvals.

- Manage reconciliations, supplier statements, reporting and month-end activities.

- Support strong financial controls and accurate, timely reporting.

- Drive improvements across finance systems and processes.

- Provide excellent service to colleagues, customers and suppliers.

What we’re looking for

- Experience across purchase, sales and general ledger accounting.

- Experience supporting or developing others.

- Strong Excel and finance systems experience.

- Excellent organisation, communication and customer service skills.

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Ability to prioritise, work independently and meet deadlines.

- AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies are desirable, but not essential.
