Summary

Job Overview

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician (this is essential).

Please note you will be required to travel to our Head Office to carry out work and/or collect parts - this is based in Haslingden BB4. You will be driving our company vans.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and self-motivated Mobile Auto Electrician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle electrical systems across a range of vehicles at customer locations. The successful candidate will be confident working independently in the field and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults on vehicles, including wiring, lighting, starters, alternators, sensors, and electronic control systems.

Install, maintain, and fault-find vehicle electrical systems and aftermarket accessories.

Carry out electrical system testing using diagnostic equipment and tools.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and vehicle schematics.

Provide efficient, professional service at customer premises or designated work sites.

Accurately complete job records and documentation.

Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards and relevant regulations.

Communicate clearly with customers, explaining faults, repairs, and recommendations where required.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as an Auto Electrician (essential).

Relevant qualifications, certifications, or technical training in automotive electrical systems.

Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.

Strong ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Excellent fault-finding skills with strong attention to detail.

Flexible and comfortable working in varied environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience using diagnostic tools such as OBD scanners.

Good knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and emerging automotive technologies.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Working Conditions

This is a mobile role involving travel to multiple locations. The position may require outdoor work, manual dexterity, and adaptability to different working environments.
