Nursery Practitioner - Head of Room - Leicester

We are working with a leading and highly regarded nursery in Leicester to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner - Head of Room to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Practitioner or Room Leaderwho is looking to take the next step in their career within a welcoming and well-established setting.

The Role

As Head of Room, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring children receive outstanding care, education and support.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the day-to-day running of your allocated room.

- Providing high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.

- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.

- Supporting children's individual learning and development.

- Completing observations and contributing to children's learning journeys.

- Building strong relationships with children, parents and carers.

- Supporting and mentoring other practitioners within the room.

- Promoting an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing.

- Working closely with the nursery leadership team.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.

- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.

- Experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner or similar is desirable.

- A strong understanding of the EYFS.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

- A genuine passion for children's learning and development.

- An interest in SEND and inclusive practice.

- A desire to progress and develop within the Early Years sector.
