Summary

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

£29,300 per annum | 40 Hours per Week | Under 3s Room

 

This Good Ofsted-rated nursery is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join its Under 3s team.

 

The nursery features purposefully designed rooms for each age group, creating environments that reflect children's changing needs as they grow. Rooms are thoughtfully equipped with high-quality resources, toys and activities that encourage sensory exploration, early communication, physical development and learning through play.

 

Children also benefit from a large, secure outdoor space, carefully planned to provide plenty of opportunities for fresh air, movement and hands-on exploration throughout the year.

 

Working within the Under 3s, you'll focus on creating strong, nurturing relationships and providing consistent care that helps younger children feel safe, settled and confident as they begin to explore the world around them.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Full and relevant

    Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.

  • Experience working with

    babies and/or toddlers would be advantageous.

  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development, particularly within the Under 3s.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A patient, nurturing and responsive approach to caring for younger children.

Your Role

  • Deliver high-quality care and education for children under 3 in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Provide a warm and nurturing environment where babies and toddlers feel safe, secure and valued.

  • Plan age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, communication, movement and early development.

  • Support children's individual routines, including sleep, feeding, mealtimes and personal care.

  • Act as a Key Person, building secure relationships with children and maintaining positive communication with their families.

  • Observe and record children's development, using their individual interests and needs to plan their next steps.

  • Make full use of the nursery's indoor and outdoor environments to provide varied learning experiences.

  • Work closely with the Room Leader and wider team to maintain consistently high standards of care.

  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
