Summary

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Waterbeach, Cambridge.

Location: Waterbeach, CambridgeHours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage the commercial resources of exciting construction projects in the Waterbeach area. You'll play a key role in maximising project profitability through the strategic placement and control of contracts and subcontracts, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering major regional projects across education, health, defence and other strategic sectors. Your day to day will include:

-Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin and project profitability

-Appointing subcontractors and placing orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities

-Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers

-Leading and motivating the project's commercial staff to ensure collaborative relationships

-Assessing, controlling and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing risk management policies

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

-You have diverse and clear communication skills with experience of effective communication across multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chains

-You possess strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively

-You can work collaboratively as part of a team while also using your own initiative

-You have the ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
