Our new Career Graded Apprenticeship Programme guarantees you a permanent position after the training is completed (subject to satisfactory completion of this initial period).

We presently have an exciting opportunity within our ICT Department within our End User Services team. Our ICT department are one of the many services that keep the authority running; making sure that Powys is a great place to work, live and visit. On a daily basis our

EUS team are the first point of contact for all internal ICT service users from within both Powys County Council and Powys Teaching Health Board. Being are modern organisations both PTHB and Powys rely heavily on high quality ICT support.

The successful individual will receive an opportunity to study towards a recognised ICT qualification across 2 years. As well as receiving a fantastic grounding in the industry and an understanding of how we operate, this could be a springboard into a number of exciting

opportunities in the future. As a member of the team you'd also have the opportunity to undertake a range of other duties and industry recognized Professional Qualifications relevant to your post.

As an ICT apprentice you'll enjoy a wide variety of tasks, working closely with more experienced professionals who will be only too happy to mentor and guide you through your formal qualification.

We're looking for bright, ambitious and enthusiastic individuals with an appetite for learning and who love working as part of a team. You'll need a good academic track record, excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate a keen interest in information and

communication technologies.

As a career graded apprenticeship, the salary will be as follows:

1st year Career Graded Trainee – 80% of the normal salary for the position, based on the bottom point of the job evaluated scale, subject to National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage provisions.

2nd year Career Graded Trainee 90% of the normal salary for the position, based on the bottom point of the job evaluated, scale subject to National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage

provisions.

Should you successfully meet the requirements of the appointment over the 2 year career graded training post, you will take up the permanent position on full pay.
