Summary

Orthoptist - Band 5

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well motivated Orthoptist to join our team of eight Orthoptists, one field technician, three Optometrists . The base is Tameside General Hospital and  the post holder will be expected to undertake clinics at Millbrook Medical Practice and all Community Clinics throughout the whole of Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Organisation.

A diploma or degree in Orthoptics and registration with the HCPC is essential.

To provide high quality, comprehensive Orthoptic services for Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust . Assessing, determining clinical diagnosis, treating and managing clients referred to the service and providing specialist advice. 

To participate in the District Visual Screening Programme delivered in school reception class. 

To provide specialist Orthoptic advice to patients and a wide range of Health Professionals

To demonstrate Orthoptics to other health professionals
