A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential. Experience in a care home setting is also essential This is a part time position, working 14 hours per week, to include alternate weekends The shift patterns include working 3pm-7pm or 4pm-8pm A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time. Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents. About You You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
