What is required from you?
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential.
- Experience in a care home setting is also essential
- This is a part time position, working 14 hours per week, to include alternate weekends
- The shift patterns include working 3pm-7pm or 4pm-8pm
A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
- Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time.
- Offer
Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good
understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens
support, communication and engagement to the residents.
About You
You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and
enthusiastic
individual who is able to show
empathy to the needs of others.
