Working days, you will help produce accurate components and support the smooth running of CNC operations.Key responsibilities• Create, edit and optimise CNC programmes for production• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications• Select suitable tooling, cutting conditions and machining methods• Set and operate CNC machinery as required• Check finished work using appropriate measuring equipment• Identify programming or production issues and make adjustments• Maintain safe, tidy and efficient working practices• Work closely with colleagues to meet quality and production requirementsSkills and qualifications• Previous experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to precise tolerances• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, tooling and setting procedures• Competent use of inspection and measurement equipment• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively during day shifts• A relevant engineering or manufacturing qualification would be advantageous
