Summary

The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for a

Picker & Packer to join a well-established client in

East Grinstead, operating within the

food production industry and supplying high-quality products to commercial and private customers.

Location: East Grinstead

Industry: Food Production

Hours for Picker and Packer: Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 8pm or Tuesday to Saturday 6pm to 4am

Pay: £12.71 an hour

Key Responsibilities of the Picker & Packer:

Working in a chilled environment picking and packing food products accurately to customer orders

Weighing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch

Ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards, reporting any issues to the relevant department

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the packing area

Working closely with other departments to meet daily targets.

Complying with health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times

Placing damaged goods into the quarantine area for return or reporting

Assisting with the movement of stock from goods-in to the warehouse or packing area, including stock put-away

Requirements of the Picker & Packer:

Must be comfortable working with and around meat products.

Previous experience in food production, packing, or butchery is desirable but not essential

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Comfortable working in a chilled environment

Physically fit and capable of manual handling

Good understanding of health and safety practices
