PRIFYSGOL BANGOR

UNDEB Y MYFYRWYR

Swyddog Projectau Lles a Chyngor Academaidd

(Cyf: BU04098)

Graddfa 6: £31,236 y flwyddyn

Gwahoddir ceisiadau am y swydd lawn amser dros dro uchod (dros gyfnod mamolaeth) yn Undeb y Myfyrwyr Prifysgol Bangor.

Wedi cael addysg hyd at safon Lefel A (neu brofiad cyfatebol), byddwch yn unigolyn agos-atoch a threfnus sy'n canolbwyntio ar y myfyriwr, yn barod i arwain y gwaith o ddarparu a datblygu ein gwasanaeth cyngor academaidd annibynnol, a chydlynu ystod o ymgyrchoedd, projectau a gweithgareddau lles.

Mae'r swydd amrywiol hon yn cyfuno cefnogaeth uniongyrchol i fyfyrwyr â datblygu gwasanaethau, mewnwelediad a gweithio mewn partneriaeth. Byddwch yn darparu cyngor diduedd, arweiniad a chefnogaeth ymarferol o ran gwaith achos i fyfyrwyr sy'n llywio gweithdrefnau'r Brifysgol — gan eu helpu i ddeall eu hopsiynau, paratoi at gyfarfodydd ac ymgysylltu'n hyderus â phrosesau perthnasol.

Rydym yn chwilio am rywun sy'n gallu dehongli polisïau a gweithdrefnau cymhleth a'u hesbonio'n glir i eraill, rheoli sefyllfaoedd sensitif mewn ffordd bwyllog ac empathetig, cydbwyso blaenoriaethau cystadleuol, a meithrin perthnasoedd effeithiol ag ystod eang o bobl.

Byddai profiad o weithio ym maes addysg uwch, undeb myfyrwyr neu sefydliad arall dan arweiniad aelodaeth yn fantais, ond rydym hefyd yn croesawu ymgeiswyr sydd â phrofiad trosglwyddadwy perthnasol o leoliadau cyngor, cefnogaeth neu waith achos eraill.

Bydd disgwyl i’r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus ddechrau yn Hydref 2026.

Mae gallu siarad ac ysgrifennu Cymraeg a Saesneg yn hyderus ac yn rhugl mewn amrywiaeth eang o sefyllfaoedd yn hanfodol i’r swydd.

Byddwch yn gweithio ar y campws ym Mangor. Trwy ein fframwaith Gweithio Deinamig, bydd dewis hefyd i dreulio peth amser yn gweithio o bell (er yn aros yn y Deyrnas Unedig) i gynnal cydbwysedd bywyd a gwaith. Caiff hynny ei drafod gyda’r ymgeiswyr yn y cyfweliad.

Ystyrir ceisiadau hefyd i wneud y swydd yn rhan amser neu rannu’r swydd.

Derbynnir ceisiadau ar-lein yn unig, trwy ein gwefan recriwtio, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. Ond os cewch drafferth defnyddio’r wefan oherwydd anabledd, mae ffurflenni cais papur ar gael trwy ffonio 01248 383865.

Dyddiad cau derbyn ceisiadau: 31 Awst 2026

Cynhelir cyfweliadau yn y cnawd yn Undeb Myfyrwyr Prifysgol Bangor ddydd Llun 14 Medi.

BANGOR UNIVERSITY

STUDENTS’ UNION

Academic Advice and Welfare Projects Officer

(Ref: BU04098)

Grade 6: £31,236 p.a.

Applications are invited for the above temporary (Maternity cover) full time post working in the students' Union at Bangor University.

Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent experience), you'll be an approachable, organised and student-focused individual, ready to lead the delivery and development of our independent academic advice service and coordinate a range of welfare campaigns, projects and activities.

This varied role combines direct student support with service development, insight and partnership working. You will provide impartial advice, guidance and practical casework support to students navigating University procedures — helping them understand their options, prepare for meetings and engage confidently with relevant processes.

We're looking for someone who can interpret complex policies and procedures and explain them clearly to others, manage sensitive situations calmly and empathetically, balance competing priorities, and build effective relationships with a wide range of people.

Experience of working in higher education, a students' union or another membership-led organisation would be an advantage, but we also welcome applicants with relevant transferable experience from other advice, support or casework settings.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence October 2026.

The ability to speak and write confidently and fluently in both Welsh and English in a wide variety of situations is essential for this role.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.

Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.

Closing date for applications: 31st August 2026

Interviews will be held in person at Bangor University Students' Union on Monday 14th September.
