Senior Nursery Practitioner – Pre-Toddler Room
£30,300 per year | 40 Hours per Week | All Year Round
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery within its dedicated Pre-Toddler Room. The setting has carefully designed age-specific rooms, each thoughtfully equipped with resources and activities that reflect children's changing interests and developmental needs.
Outdoor learning is a big part of everyday nursery life. Children are encouraged to get outside, explore their surroundings and use their imaginations, with outdoor adventures providing plenty of opportunities to develop confidence, physical skills and curiosity.
As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you'll combine hands-on care with additional responsibility within the room, leading by example and supporting colleagues to provide consistent, engaging experiences for every child.
What We're Looking For
Full and relevant
Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
Senior Nursery Practitioner experience would be advantageous, although an experienced practitioner ready for additional responsibility may also be considered.
Experience working with babies, pre-toddlers or toddlers would be beneficial.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Confidence supporting and guiding other practitioners.
A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach.

Your Role
Provide high-quality care and education within the Pre-Toddler Room.
Support children through an important stage of development, encouraging their growing communication, confidence and independence.
Create engaging activities based around children's interests and developmental needs.
Make outdoor learning and exploration a regular part of children's daily experiences.
Act as a Key Person, building secure relationships with children and maintaining positive communication with families.
Observe and assess children's development and plan appropriate next steps.
Lead by example and provide day-to-day guidance and support to colleagues within the room.
Work closely with the Room Leader and management team to maintain consistently high standards.
Maintain excellent safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS practice.
