Summary

Nursery Practitioner

£28,000–£30,000 per year | Level 3 | 41.25 Hours per Week

This welcoming early years setting believes that the foundations for future learning are built through confidence, curiosity, and meaningful experiences.

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll help children develop the skills they need for a successful transition into school while ensuring they enjoy every step of their early years journey.

Every room has been carefully designed with age-appropriate resources that inspire learning through play, both indoors and outdoors.

One of the nursery's standout features is its Forest School programme. The Pre-School room is led by staff with Forest School qualifications, giving children regular opportunities to explore nature, develop resilience, and build confidence through outdoor learning experiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
  • A genuine passion for helping children develop confidence and a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enthusiasm for outdoor learning and child-led exploration would be advantageous.

Nursery Practitioner Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based experiences.
  • Create stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that encourage curiosity and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.
  • Promote children's confidence, communication, and school readiness.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and verification of the right to work in the UK, in line with safeguarding responsibilities.
