Summary

Job Role: Supervisor

Report to: General Manager, Assistant Manager

Responsible for: Front of House, Bar Staff, Housekeeping (where applicable)

Summary of Position:

To assist the management team in leading the team in ensuring the effective running of the venue on a day-to-day basis by implementing controls including and not limited too; staff/wage controls, effective stock management and repair and maintenance of equipment. Also to lead the team in working towards our common goal of providing a consistent service within the business; to our valued guests, which follows all guidelines and training given allowing them to have a safe and pleasant experience when visiting a Craft and Jam venue

Responsibilities:

To build knowledge of how to lead an economically successful team.

To ensure shifts are financially controlled within the correct budgets for predictive level of trade and alter proactively when needed.

Stock ordering from designated suppliers using the correct necessary inventory management & ensure correct stock wastage procedures are followed.

Ensure the maintenance & control of profit margins within the business, through using correct portioning, wastage & till operational procedures.

To drive revenue through monitoring of sales based key performance indicators such as average spend per head and room bookings through networking where possible for events and/or longer-term guests.

To handle all guest enquiries and bookings in the correct manner ensuring all relevant information/deposits are all completed (including any information that will make it easy for us to go the extra mile in our service I.e. Birthdays, anniversaries etc.)

To support the overseeing of the daily operations of the venue as a whole and ensure it is in keeping with the brand expectations, budgets and health & safety policies. Communicating any issues to higher management for the correct actions to be taken.

To ensure effective communication is maintained with all relevant people within the business in the correct manner.

To build knowledge of how to complete all relevant reports by the venues management team within the given deadlines.

To ensure that staff are welcomed warmly to the business with an effective induction (including welcome pack) with fast efficient training in keeping with brand expectations.

To train and upskill the team within the guidelines of the Craft & Jam brand for personal and professional development of the team.

To demonstrate and uphold a sound knowledge of products as well as brand awareness. Ensuring all staff follow any requirements to ensure that all relevant special measures are met for our guests needs i.e. allergens procedures, young children or additional support etc

To make sound decisions that are not detrimental to the brand's integrity and follow the guidelines and procedures as set out in your house rules, contract & employee handbook.

To help to cultivate a creative, professional environment that meets the desires of guests’ orders and offers a fast and consistently great quality of service. Monitoring feedback from guests as a barometer of performance and implementing the correct improvement procedures if needed.

To ensure all essential administrative duties are completed daily and in line with company standards including and not limited to; emails, Facebook messages, answerphone messages, staff clock in sheets, open tab report, room occupancy trackers, cash up procedures, opening checklists, day job checklists, closedown checklists & deep cleaning records.

To maintain all levels of cleanliness to the correct standards, as well as meeting guidelines to achieve the highest level of environmental health scores as well as in company operational checks.

To support the owners with the care and maintenance of the building by reporting any concerns, near misses or maintenance required to machinery or the premises. Which in turn will provide a safe and secure environment for staff and patrons.

To ensure the completion of all procedures which maintain the security of the business.

To positively promote the Craft and Jam ethos and ensure you live & breathe our values when working in our venues.

To conscientiously manage your time and work life balance following company guidelines as listed in the employee handbook and house rules.

To comply with all reasonable management requests.
