The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced
Construction Manager to support the delivery of major works.
This is a key leadership role within a highly regulated nuclear environment, responsible for overseeing construction activities from planning through to delivery-ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and cost targets.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and coordinate
multi-disciplinary construction activities across site
Provide
constructability input during early project phases, including risk identification
Drive delivery against
programme, cost, quality, and safety targets
Oversee
day-to-day site operations, ensuring effective coordination between teams
Lead
risk management and readiness reviews prior to execution
Ensure full compliance with
CDM regulations, nuclear safety standards, and site licence conditions
Manage
contractors and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
Monitor performance and implement improvements to optimise delivery
✅ What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
Proven experience delivering
construction projects in highly regulated environments
Strong background in
nuclear, defence, or high-hazard industries
Demonstrable experience leading
complex construction delivery and site teams
Strong understanding of
CDM regulations and nuclear safety culture
Qualifications & Certifications
NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management (or equivalent)
IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
NEBOSH qualification
CSCS Black Card
Professional membership (e.g. CIOB) desirable
Site Requirements
P4 Pass Holder
SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Sellafield site experience highly desirable
Experience working in
R2/C2 environments preferred
