Full-time, permanent appointment subject to funding Based in Liverpool An Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Dynamic Research Team!The Human Challenge Facility is seeking a passionate and dedicated Research Nurse to join our dynamic and agile delivery team You will work in the Human Challenge Facility, an 18-bedded outpatient research space and the new 12-bedded inpatient isolation facility within LSTM. This cutting-edge facility will serve as a focal point for experimental medicine research, focusing on human challenge models to test vaccine and drug safety and efficacy. The HCF will play a pivotal role in the development of new treatments and vaccines, enabling LSTM to continue its global impact on infection treatment and control.As a Research Nurse, you will provide essential clinical cover in the HCF, delivering care to participants according to the study protocol while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care and complying with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Your responsibilities will include:Providing clinical care to study participants during their time in the HCFCollecting samples and completing data entry using electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)Ensuring clinical studies run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with GCP guidelinesWorking alongside a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists to develop better vaccines and treatments for future generations This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative research, contributing to the development of life-saving vaccines and treatments in a collaborative, research-driven environment. Working Pattern: This role requires flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, night shifts, Bank Holidays, and other out-of-hours shifts. Additional payment covers unsocial hours. While the post is offered on a full-time, permanent subject to funding basis, we will consider applications from candidates seeking part-time hours on a fixed-term contract basis, subject to the needs of the service.
