This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Counciland#39;s Street Works Team within the Highways section.

u About the Role: /u

The purpose of the role is to carry out a comprehensive Street Works Inspection function including andndash;

Undertaking regular inspections of street works to ensure they are carried out in line with statutory obligations

Monitor and record compliance with NRSWA, Codes of Practice and Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways

You will also be required to provide cover as necessary on Highway Safety Inspections.

u Experience / Skills Required: /u

Although previous experience as a Street Works Inspector is desirable it is not essential as training will be provided.

You should have experience in the construction industry including proven experience of dealing with traffic management issues and reinstatement specifications.

You should have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and a high level of computer literacy as well as effective communication skills.

You will also need to have knowledge and experience of Health and Safety working on the Highway.
