Summary

Weand#39;re looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Assistant to join our HR service on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps into a career in Human Resources. Youand#39;ll be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, enjoy working with people and data, and be keen to learn and develop within a supportive HR environment.

Youand#39;ll have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. As one of the first points of contact for the HR team, youand#39;ll help manage the shared HR inbox and telephone enquiries, providing a professional and responsive service to managers, employees and external contacts. Youand#39;ll support recruitment activity, maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, assist with the administration of the Counciland#39;s training programme, and play an important role in workforce reporting and data analysis. This includes maintaining data quality across HR systems, producing regular reports and analysing workforce information. Youand#39;ll be confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, comfortable working with data, and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

This role offers an ideal entry point into HR for someone looking to build a long-term career in the profession. Working as part of a HR support team, youand#39;ll gain valuable experience across recruitment, employee support, workforce reporting, HR systems, learning and development, employee relations and policy implementation. Youand#39;ll develop practical skills in HR administration, data analysis, reporting and workforce metrics, while contributing to a range of HR projects and initiatives. Working alongside experienced HR professionals, youand#39;ll gain exposure to the full HR function and receive the support and experience needed to build a successful career in HR.
