Summary

A Vacancy at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Band 4 Assistant Practitoner to join our Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy team at Salford Royal Hospital.

In this role, you will work with patients presenting with a wide range of Orthopaedic rehabilitation needs. You will be involved in early rehabilitation, functional  activity assessments and practice, equipment assessment and provision, splinting, and discharge planning within a fast‑paced, supportive MDT.

You will be working in a large OT / Physio Orthopaedic team which consists of Band 7, 6 and 5 OT's and Physio's, Therapy Assistant and Apprentice OT.

The Orthopaedic Therapy team is known for its commitment to high‑quality care, innovation, and professional development. You will be part of a friendly, expert MDT and have access to excellent CPD opportunities.

To assist in the identification of health and social care needs and participate in the delivery and evaluation of interventions developed to meet those needs under indirect supervision of a registered health or social care professional.

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the critical care and acute ward settings, and to maintain clinical skill and competencies by working within both acute and rehabilitation functions of the service.

To provide supervision and assessment for more junior staff or those undergoing NVQ.
