Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to join our extensive Band 5 rotation.

Rotations take place every six months across the following specialty areas: Major Trauma, Stroke Acute and Stroke Rehabilitation, Neuro Rehab, Acute Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Elderly / Medical, Emergency Assessment Unit, Post Acute Rehabilitation, Intermediate Care, Adult Learning Disabilities and Homesafe Discharge to Assess Team. All our rotations will provide you with excellent opportunities to develop a wide range of clinical and professional skills in a friendly and supportive environment at an outstanding teaching hospital.

• You will carry out holistic Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions, considering the persons physical, cognitive and psycho-social needs.

• You will work in a variety of settings including acute and rehab wards, out-patients and community bedded units and patients own homes.

• You will work with the MDT to achieve patients rehabilitation goals, facilitating discharge home or to appropriate rehabilitation settings.

• You will be supervised and supported by highly skilled and experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Occupational Therapists and work collaboratively with the MDT. The Occupational Therapy Department strives for continuous service improvement and professional development is supported. We have a comprehensive preceptor-ship programme and place great importance upon training and supporting all members of our team.
