Oxley Primary is a popular and successful school and we are extremely proud of our community ethos.We are seeking to appoint a Senior Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic school. The post will be for 31 hours per week. Based on their skills and experience, the successful candidate will be leading lessons, providing general learning support, 1:1 support , carrying out interventions across the school and supporting our pupil’s emotional wellbeing. The successful candidates will need to have:• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning • Experience of working with children in the primary range • High expectations of what children can achieve• Experience of supporting pupils with communication and emotional / behavioural difficulties• Flexibility and creativity• A positive approach and passion for engaging children in learning• An ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents• A strong work ethic and a high standards of professionalism• ELSA qualification (or equivalent) We are a friendly, supportive, forward thinking school with a strong “I Can” ethos and a history of excellent classroom practice.
