TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School based in Swadlincote, who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment where staff work closely together to help every child feel safe, understood and able to succeed.
The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism / ASD, helping them access learning, develop their communication and independence, and build confidence throughout the school day.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools
- Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
- Confidence providing dedicated 1:1 classroom support
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
- CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My-Progression channel
- Market leading rates of pay
