Summary

Lead, manage, and motivate the Grounds Maintenance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality estate services across a designated geographical area.

Carry out regular estate inspections to ensure communal areas are maintained to a high standard, identifying and reporting repairs, compliance issues, tenancy concerns, and health and safety hazards.

Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments, COSHH regulations, lone working procedures, and safe working practices for all team members.

Manage team performance by conducting regular one-to-one meetings, providing coaching and development, addressing performance issues, and recognising achievements.

Plan, organise, and schedule grounds maintenance activities, including seasonal project work, to maximise productivity and service delivery throughout the year.

Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and compliance of machinery, equipment, and company vehicles, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy, and fit for purpose.

Monitor stock levels and manage the procurement of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and uninterrupted service delivery.

Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from residents, colleagues, and stakeholders, resolving issues and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Manage external contractors where required, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed quality standards and contractual requirements.

Build strong working relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner teams to improve estate standards, enhance resident satisfaction, and support continuous service improvement.
