The Role
You will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of care to service users in their own homes, enabling them to live as independently as possible while supporting the business objectives and mission statement of Blue Star St Andrews.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a professional home care service, working primarily on a one-to-one basis with service users in their own homes and supporting them to maintain the highest possible level of independence.
Work in line with the Health and Social Care Standards – My Support, My Life and follow all Blue Star St Andrews policies and procedures.
Assist with all aspects of personal and domestic care, including bathing, dressing and daily living activities.
Liaise with Social Work and District Nursing teams when instructed by your Manager.
Keep your Manager informed of any changes in a service user's care needs.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of health and social care policies, procedures and standards.
Attend training and development events as required.
Work towards and maintain the qualifications required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Home Carer.
