We're looking for a Shift Manager to lead one of our production teams at Tottle Bakery. This is a fantastic opportunity to take
ownership of a busy manufacturing operation, where you'll play a key role in delivering quality products safely, efficiently, and
on time while developing and motivating a high-performing team.
Job Title: Food Production Shift Manager- Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: The Compleat Food Group, Queens Drive, Nottingham, NG2 1LU
Working Hours: 06:00 - 18:00 Wednesday to Saturday for 2 weeks and every third week Thursday to Saturday
Pay: Between £46000 and £48000 per annum

What You'll Be Doing
As Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of your shift, ensuring production targets are achieved while
maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
* Lead a strong safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
* Conduct thorough accident investigations and ensure all incidents are reported and resolved promptly.
* Carry out pre-start safety checks and maintain an up-to-date Health & Safety toolbox.
* Drive continuous improvement towards our goal of zero accidents.
* Maintain audit-ready standards across your production area.
* Support a "right first time" approach that protects our customers and our brand.
* Deliver production plans safely, efficiently and on time.
* Maximise productivity while controlling labour, waste and material usage.
* Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Control material usage and minimise losses through effective process management.
* Ensure stock takes are completed accurately and on time.
* Build a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture built around our IMPACT values.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
* Manage absence, performance and employee relations fairly and consistently.
* Support career development through coaching, mentoring and recognised training programmes.
What We're Looking For
* Previous Shift or Production Management experience within a chilled food manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams
* Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
* Experience driving Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
* Commercial awareness and a focus on operational performance
* Experience working with major retailer standards
* A passion for coaching and developing future leaders
* The ability to balance people leadership with operational excellence
