Personal Assistant Required - Night Support

Hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, 8:00pm to 8:00am

A reliable and experienced Personal Assistant is required to provide overnight support to an older lady in her own home. This rewarding role involves assisting with the client's bedtime and morning routines, while remaining on hand throughout the night to provide support as required.

About the Role

The successful applicant will support the client with a range of personal care and daily living tasks, including:

  • Assisting the client to change into nightwear.
  • Transferring the client from their chair into a commode chair.
  • Supporting transfers to and from the bedroom.
  • Using a ceiling hoist to assist the client safely into and out of bed.
  • Assisting with the application and removal of a BiPAP mask.
  • Providing overnight support, including repositioning the client when required. The client will use a bell to request assistance if needed.
  • Supporting with the morning routine, including dressing and personal care.
  • Preparing a morning coffee.
  • Emptying the commode.
  • Walking the client's small dog.
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable providing personal care.
  • Confident supporting individuals with mobility needs.
  • Able to work independently whilst maintaining a caring and attentive approach.
  • Active, reliable and punctual.
  • An excellent communicator with a considerate and respectful manner.
  • Sensitive to the client's wishes, preferences and dignity.
Experience using a hoist would be advantageous, although training can be provided to the right candidate.

Due to the personal care aspects of this role, a female Personal Assistant is preferred.

A non-smoker would be preferable.
