Summary
The Communications and Impact Officer will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and the wider team to develop and deliver engaging communications that raise the profile of NorthCare Charity, support fundraising activity and demonstrate the impact of charitable funding. The postholder will create and manage highquality content across a range of channels, including social media, website and internal communications. This includes writing compelling stories and case studies, producing engaging written and visual content, and supporting the development of campaigns, events and appeals. A key part of the role will be identifying and developing impactful stories from across the Northern Care Alliance, working with colleagues to showcase how charitable funding is making a difference. The postholder will build strong relationships across teams to source content, support communications activity and ensure consistent messaging. The role also involves managing and developing digital channels, supporting media activity and promoting fundraising events and initiatives to maximise engagement and reach. The postholder will support donors, fundraisers and stakeholders through thoughtful and timely communications, helping to recognise their contribution and encourage ongoing support. The Communications and Impact Officer will contribute to the development of marketing materials, case studies and partnership content, working closely with the fundraising team to support income generation activity. They will also monitor and report on communications performance, using insight to improve and develop activity. The postholder will ensure that all communications are accurate, engaging and aligned with the charitys brand and values, and that all activity is carried out in line with relevant policies, data protection and regulatory requirements. The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage workload independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment. Flexibility will be required to attend events and activities where necessary.
