We're currently recruiting full-time and part-time Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Portsmouth, with both day and night shifts available. This is a permanent role offering secure employment, excellent training, and genuine opportunities to progress.
As part of this role, you'll be required to work alternate weekends and support residents across our three Extra Care schemes:
Caroline Square
Milton Village
Brunel Court
About the role
Extra Care schemes provide residents with the independence of living in their own self-contained apartments while having access to on-site care and support whenever it's needed.
As a Care Assistant, you'll help people maintain their independence and enjoy the best possible quality of life through personalised care tailored to their individual needs.
No two days are the same. You could be:
Supporting with personal care, washing and dressing
Assisting with medication
Helping prepare meals and drinks
Providing companionship and emotional support
Assisting with light household tasks
Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing
Above all, you'll build meaningful relationships with the people you support. Sometimes the biggest difference you can make is simply being there to listen, offer reassurance, or share a smile.
