Job Advertisement: Groundworker/Skilled Operative

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker/Skilled Operative to join our team in Bedlington. This role involves working on a cycle path construction project, with the potential for up to one year of work for the right candidate. If performance does not meet expectations, the position may be limited to a few weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and relevant experience to contribute to an important infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

- Perform general groundwork tasks, including digging out, shoveling, and other manual labor duties.

- Assist with the construction and preparation of the cycle path.

- Carry out site preparation and ensure the work area is clean and safe.

- Support the team by running errands and providing assistance where needed.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.

Qualifications

- A valid CSCS Card is mandatory.

- Previous experience in groundwork or construction is highly desirable.

- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.

- Begin the day with a team briefing to outline tasks and safety protocols.
