Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Night Shift HGV Technician position based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Duties of the Night Shift HGV Technician:

- Performing comprehensive repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles

- Conducting routine inspections, including tyre rotations and oil changes

- Diagnosing faults using current diagnostic tools and techniques

- Maintaining accurate records of repair work and warranty claims

- Managing inventory and ensuring workshop cleanliness

- Providing emergency roadside repairs when required

- Supporting junior team members with technical training and guidance

- Completing all relevant documentation in accordance with company and industry standards

Requirements as a Night Shift HGV Technician:

- Level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance

- Proven experience in heavy vehicle repairs and diagnostics

- Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements

- Full UK driving licence suitable for HGV vehicles

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality vehicle service
