Our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide, is seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician for their busy Pontefract dealership. Duties of a HGV Technician:

- Conduct major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles

- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance services

- Maintain an organised inventory within the workshop

- Ensure workshop cleanliness, including managing oil spills and dust

- Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues alongside repair teams

- Record repairs and maintenance using Keyloop/Kerridge systems

- Complete all relevant documentation, warranties, and escalate claims as necessary

- Carry out wheel alignments and tyre fitting

- Provide accurate and timely customer documentation

- Work efficiently within set timeframes to maintain workshop productivity

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

- Ideally 1-2 years of practical experience post-qualification

- Strong team player with a collaborative attitude

- Able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

- Motivated to meet and exceed targets

- Valid HGV driving licence is highly desirable but not essential

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
