We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable national dealership group in Preston, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to advance their career within the motor trade sector. The HGV Technician role involves maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Duties of a HGV Technician:

- Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various commercial vehicles and trailers

- Conduct fault diagnosis and testing to accurately identify issues

- Complete all required paperwork for warranty, retail, and contract work

- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise customer downtime and costs

- Follow manufacturer procedures and stay updated with technical advances

- Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or similar)

- Proven experience working on commercial vehicles and trailers

- Strong diagnostic and repair skills

- Organised, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities

- Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential

- Professional attitude with good communication skills

- Ability to work independently and within a team effectively
