Summary

Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking an exciting role in Preston? We are currently recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a reputable National Dealership Group. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, gain valuable experience, and enjoy an attractive salary package.

- Shifts from Wednesday 1pm to 7pm and Thursday to Saturday 7am to 7pm

Duties of a HGV Technician:

- Perform maintenance and repair activities on heavy commercial vehicles and trailers

- Diagnose faults and conduct testing to ensure accurate and complete repairs as a HGV Technician

- Complete warranty, contract, and retail paperwork within procedural guidelines

- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise customer costs

- Support the team with additional tasks as delegated by your supervisor

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification to NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

- Experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles

- Organised with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail

- Manufacturer training and up-to-date knowledge of heavy vehicle systems

- Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is advantageous but not essential

- Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner

- Ability to work well under pressure, independently or within a team
