Summary
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes or residential settings, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, such as washing, dressing, bathing, continence care, mobility, pressure area care, and medication prompting. You will also support service users with daily living activities, social engagement, shopping, collecting prescriptions, paying bills, and providing companionship.
In addition, you will carry out domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, ironing, meal preparation, making beds, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. You will communicate effectively with service users, adapting your approach to meet individual needs, including those with hearing or visual impairments, while following each person's care plan and promoting their health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
