Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
• Strong teaching and delivery skills across Electrical Installation at Levels 1–3.
• Experience delivering practical and theory sessions including inspection & testing and fault‑finding.
• Ability to design schemesofwork, assessmentplansand course documentation.
• Experience supporting learners through tutorials, pastoralcare,and progress reviews.
• Familiarity with awarding‑body requirements, assessmentstandardsand quality processes.
• Competence in managing course administration including enrolment, registers, datareturnsand reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a teaching team and with cross‑college services.
• Experience engaging with employers and supporting work placements.

Further details about the role
• Deliver teaching across Electrical Installation, including theory, practical skills, inspection & testing, faultdiagnosisand design.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning, including marking, feedback,tutorialsand pastoral support.
• Act as Course Leader for designated programmes, overseeing delivery, assessment schedules, qualityprocessesand student progress.
• Support learner progression towards full occupational competence and successful End Point Assessment.
• Maintainaccuraterecords including attendance, performance,destinationsandawarding‑bodyrequirements.
• Organise work placements and liaise with employers, parents/carersand external bodies.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance,self‑assessmentand continuous improvement.
• Participate in college events such as open evenings, careers events and school liaison.
• Maintain professional competence through CPD, appraisal, and participation in teaching observations.
