- Provide individualised support and assistance to students with SEND, tailoring your approach to meet their unique learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one sessions that address specific learning objectives and skill development
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with teachers and parents/carers
- Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your knowledge and skills
- Promote the inclusion and integration of SEND students within the school community
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational or SEND-related setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/carers
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, coupled with a flexible and adaptable approach
- Proficient in the use of technology and digital tools to support student learning
- A genuine interest in and commitment to the education and well-being of children with SEND
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant or SEND-specific certificate, are desirable but not essential
