As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students, ensuring they receive the personalised attention they require to thrive. Salary: £21257 - £23232 per annum
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and assistance to students with learning difficulties, special educational needs, or other specific requirements
- Work closely with classroom teachers to identify students' unique learning needs and develop personalised learning plans
- Implement a variety of instructional techniques and teaching methods to engage and motivate students
- Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and make adjustments to learning plans as necessary
- Assist students with organisation, time management, and study skills to help them achieve their academic goals
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of student progress and interventions
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant educational qualification, such as a degree in Education, Teaching, or a related field
- Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a one-to-one or small group setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to the unique needs of each student
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and other educational resources that can support student learning
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of young learners
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow alongside the students you support
