Summary

Specialist SEND Tutor - 1:1 Alternative Provision

Location: Cambridgeshire

Pay: £30-£42 per hour

Hours: Flexible (Term Time)

Contract: Part-Time or Full-Time

We support children and young people who require an alternative approach to education. Many of the learners we work with have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and additional needs that make mainstream education challenging.

We're looking for dedicated Specialist SEND Tutors to deliver high-quality, one-to-one tuition that helps learners re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve meaningful progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for educators who value flexibility, enjoy working independently, and are passionate about providing personalised support that makes a genuine difference.

As a Specialist SEND Tutor, you will deliver tailored learning programmes designed around each learner's individual strengths, needs, and aspirations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering personalised one-to-one tuition in safe, approved learning environments

- Planning engaging lessons and targeted interventions that reflect each learner's preferred learning style

- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to maximise engagement and achievement

- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the wellbeing of every learner at all times

- Maintaining accurate session records and contributing to progress reviews and educational planning

We're looking for compassionate and adaptable professionals who are committed to helping learners overcome barriers to education.

You will ideally have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant teaching and SEND experience

- Experience supporting children and young people with complex additional needs

- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

- A good understanding of safeguarding practices, or a willingness to complete safeguarding training

- An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one

Working with us gives you the opportunity to focus on what matters most-building positive relationships and delivering meaningful, personalised learning.

You'll benefit from:

- Competitive hourly rates of £30-£42 per hour

- Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities during term time

- The autonomy to deliver creative, learner-centred tuition

- Ongoing support from an experienced education team

- A rewarding role where your expertise can have a lasting impact on a young person's educational journey

If you're passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and are looking for a flexible role where you can make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Submit your application today to find out more about joining the team.
