Summary
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Marketing Manager to join Millwall Football Club's marketing department. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this is a senior, hands-on role with genuine ownership of integrated marketing campaigns across ticketing, retail, hospitality, and brand initiatives, all focused on driving fan engagement, attendance, and commercial revenue.
The postholder will play a central role in shaping and delivering the Club's marketing strategy, deputising for the Head of Marketing when required and acting as a key point of coordination across internal departments and external stakeholders. Using data and insights to drive continuous improvement, this person will be instrumental in connecting supporters with the Club they love.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, results-driven marketer with a genuine passion for football and the drive to make a real impact at one of London's most iconic football clubs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role includes, but is not limited to:
Campaign Planning & Delivery
▸ Lead on the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across all club revenue streams, including ticketing, memberships, retail, and commercial partnerships, reporting to and aligning with the Head of Marketing on strategy and priorities.
▸ Project manage campaigns from briefing through to delivery, coordinating activity across all relevant departments to ensure deadlines are met, a joined-up approach is maintained, and messaging is consistent.
▸ Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data and insights to make recommendations and continuously optimise future activity.
Matchday & Events Marketing
▸ Take ownership of matchday marketing activity, working closely with the Communications team to ensure promotional content and messaging is delivered effectively across all channels.
▸ Lead on pre-match and post-match marketing activity, including promotional campaigns for key fixtures, seasonal initiatives, and supporter-facing activations.
▸ Lead on the planning and delivery of marketing activity for club events, including commercial partner events, open days, and community initiatives, ensuring consistent and engaging communications across all touchpoints.
Commercial & Revenue Marketing
▸ Own the delivery of marketing campaigns designed to drive ticket sales, membership renewals, and retail performance, tracking results and reporting on impact.
▸ Work closely with the commercial team to develop and execute partner activation campaigns, ensuring sponsors receive agreed marketing exposure and activations are delivered to a high standard.
▸ Oversee the production of marketing materials, sponsorship collateral, and media packs, briefing and directing the creative team as required.
Day-to-Day Departmental Operations
▸ Serve as the senior day-to-day lead within the marketing department, managing workflow, priorities, and decision-making in the Head of Marketing's absence.
▸ Own and maintain the club's marketing calendar, ensuring all campaign activity is planned well in advance and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
▸ Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Communications, Brand & Creative, CRM, and Fan Engagement & Supporter Services teams to ensure marketing activity is delivered on time and to brief.
▸ Work with Head of Marketing and Brand and Creative Manager to ensure consistent application of club assets, in line with brand guidelines, to deliver a consistent experience for all fans and visitors across all touchpoints.
▸ Take an active role in budget management, supporting procurement processes and ensuring spend is tracked and reported accurately.
▸ Oversee departmental reporting, ensuring the Head of Marketing is kept informed of campaign performance, priorities, and any emerging issues.
