specialist secondary SEND school in

Quidenham, Norfolk, seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join their dedicated team from

September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach

Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated communication and learning needs. With

small class sizes, excellent support from experienced Teaching Assistants, and a calm, structured learning environment, you'll have the opportunity to deliver engaging PE lessons that help pupils develop confidence, teamwork and lifelong healthy habits.

The Role:

As the successful PE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD and associated needs.
  • Promote physical wellbeing, confidence and resilience through sport and physical activity.
  • Create an inclusive environment where every pupil can participate and succeed.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Encourage positive behaviour through structured routines and consistent expectations.
  • Organise extracurricular sports activities and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team to support pupil development.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • Experience teaching PE within a secondary setting.
    • Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) or additional needs is desirable.
    • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
    • A patient, flexible and compassionate approach.
    • A passion for helping every young person achieve their potential.
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
