Quidenham, Norfolk, seeking an enthusiastic
SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils with
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated needs within a calm, nurturing environment.
The Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
- Help pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and daily classroom routines.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or transferable experience are desirable.
